Carrie (1976)
One of the few good horror films based on a Stephen King novel, director Brian DePalma hit a home run with the story of high school misfit Carrie (Sissy Spacek), who unleashes her telekinetic powers on her psychotic mother (Piper Laurie) and classmates (including John Travolta, PJ Soles, and Amy Irving) after years of torment and abuse at their hands.
Special features include two different documentaries, a featurette on “Carrie the Musical”, trailer, and more. This is the special art plate cover edition.

Rats are Coming! The Werewolves are Here! (1972) , The
Blu-ray Disc - The Mooneys struggle with genetic lycanthropy. Diana Mooney is sent away to a Scottish medical school in order to help save the family and returns with Gerald, her new husband. The family disapproves of her marriage until she announces she is pregnant. A normal baby can help save the bloodline. But will it? By the time that director Andy Milligan made this surprisingly enjoyable film, werewolf movies were dead at the box office. So producer William Mishkin had him add rat footage to cash in on Willard and Ben, which just made good money at the box office. It just adds to the weirdness of a Milligan film.
Satan's Cheerleaders (1977)
Blu-ray / DVD Combo - Four high school cheerleaders and a female teacher are kidnapped by backwoods satanists led by the town’s sheriff (John Ireland). His wife (Yvonne DeCarlo) is killed by savage dogs when they find out that one of the kidnapped girls turns out to be a real witch. She gets particularly pissed off when the sheriff ruins the sacrifices when he rapes the only real virgin among the kidnapped women - the teacher! John Carradine shows up as a bum. Written and directed by Greydon Clark, who went on to direct several drive-in classics through the 70s and 80s. Uncut widescreen print includes commentary with the director, behind-the-scenes photo gallery, and more.
Includes both the Blu-ray and standard DVD versions of the film.
Shock Cinema #54
Tired of reading… or more than likely just ignoring the same movie reviews over and over every time another DVD or blu-ray reissue is released just because the magazine got a free copy? Us too. But we love movie reviews so we tend to read 99% of the reviews in every issue of Shock Cinema. Why? Because SC reviews “Wasteland Films” - the oddball stuff that falls between the cracks, made for TV movies, and assorted oddball cult films. The movie reviews, along with a few book reviews and some always interesting interviews brings us back issue after issue after issue. Oh, and speaking of interviews, SC 54 features interviews with James Darren (The Guns of Navarone, Time Tunnel), Kathleen Wilhoite (Murphy’s Law, Road House, Private School), Ron Masak (Ice Station Zebra, Evel Knievel), Fred Melamed (Lady Dynamite), and Robert Klane (Where’s Poppa?, Weekend At Bernies, Fire Sale). Best of all? While other magazines are now horribly over-priced for what is actually between the cover, SC is still only $5.00
