 Monthly Update

Spring is just around the corner, and the 42nd Cinema Wasteland Movie and Memorabilia Expo is just a couple of months away.

We’re celebrating the glory days of the video store in April, and have a great group of guests lined up that did their fair share of filling the rental shelves. Unfortunately director Dave DeCoteau just got in touch and told us he won’t be able to make the show, but we’ve got a dozen other guests on the list ready to have themselves a good time all weekend long. If you haven’t looked at the Guest List lately, then check it out when you get a chance.

We started watching indie short and film submissions last week, so expect to see them listed in another week or so. Most of the 16mm films that we will screen are posted, but we will be rounding out that film list in the next couple of weeks as well.

All in all, we’re right on track to have the entire Weekend Schedule posted a month before showtime like usual, so feel free to just keep checking the website or wait for that one last update to let you know the schedule has been posted.

OK, on to a couple reminders before I get back to designing Show Passes so we can get those printed by the end of the month as well…

ADVANCE PASSES: There is still time to grab a Single Day Pass to April’s Show for $25 or a 3-Day Pass for only $45 if you purchase them up by March 9th. And like always, Sunday April 7th is always “bargain day” since the Sunday schedule is always light. A walk-in pass on Sunday is still only $15, and unless noted on the website, all of our Guests are with us all three days. Arrive when we open (at 10:30am) on Sunday and you should be able to meet any guest you’d like to meet.

BOOK YOUR HOTEL ROOM NOW: The one thing you can always count on is that the hotel will pretty much be sold out by show time. We generally take over the entire hotel and rooms will to fill up a little faster as they are tearing down the motel next door. Avoid the headache of having to find an alternate hotel down the street by making your room reservations today. You can reserve your room through our website, or by calling The Best Western Plus at 1-440-238-8800.  Call by March 9th to book a room. Remember to mention and/or ask for “The Cinema Wasteland Room Rate”, or they might tell you that they are ”sold out” and have no rooms, or charge you more than our room rate. And PLEASE only reserve as many rooms as you plan on using.

OK, back to work I go…

Until next time,
Ken
